Lazy Sunday and Eating

After being gone all day yesterday at a swim meet I was looking forward to a much needed lazy day. Plans changed a little bit when my brother and sister in-law called and said they wanted to see us...or by us they meant Robert. We ended up going to their house for lunch and watching a little football. It was a great time even though I couldn't stay in my pj's all day like I wanted to, but on the plus side I had an excuse as to why the laundry and some house cleaning didn't get done. Here are some pics from the day including Robert eating dinner.

Eric watching football and Robert looking at me!

Eric said the flash was too bright...just proves
that Robert is tougher than his daddy!

A new spot for tummy time

Whoa!!

Robert "Mommy says no TV yet."

Uncle Nick "It's not TV it's Football!"

My real tummy time...much easier!

But Mommy why do I need to eat my Squash
when I have this yummy bib to eat?

It tastes even better off my hands!

Done with my dinner and ready for my bath!

4 Months!

Robert turns 4 months today and we can't believe all of the changes we've experienced with him in the last few weeks. He is able to interact with us a lot more which includes lots of talking, giggles, and smiles. He is learning how to play with toys and is starting to notice the TV...which is something were not as pleased with. His latest achievement is standing with support and prefers this position to all others.

On Monday he went to his 4 month check-up and weighed in at 15lbs 13.1oz and measured 25.75 inches. His chubby cheeks are very deceiving because the rest of him is pretty trim but full of muscle.

We got the okay to start solids from our doctor and have tried cereal the last few days but not with a lot of success. Monday night he was pretty crabby and running a fever from his shots. Yesterday he ate a few spoon fulls but then decided he'd had enough and wanted his bottle. We'll try to get some pictures in the next few days and post them.

Hope everyone had a great New Years and is able to stay warm & safe during this horrible winter weather.

Boys Week!

Tomorrow morning I leave with my swim team for our annual training trip and Eric will be left home with Robert and the dogs. This year we will be training in the Florida Keys and although I'm looking forward to the warm temps (mid to high 70s) and sleeping through the night (something I haven't done in almost a year) I am going to miss my boys a lot.

Robert is at such a fun stage right now and there are so many daily changes that I know I'm going to miss a lot. I've made Eric promise to send me daily pics and videos so I won't miss out too much but I know that it won't be the same.

The bad part of me leaving is that Eric will definitely have his hands full. For the past few nights Robert's sleeping schedule has completely changed...and not in a good way. He went from sleeping every night from 8pm until about 3-4am and then waking up feeding and going back to bed until about 7am. Now he is waking up every 3 hours and doesn't always fall back to sleep right away after eating. We're thinking that he might be teething since there is also tons of drool and he is chewing on anything and everything he can get into his mouth. If it is teething I hope the tooth pops up soon or at the least I hope he remembers how to sleep for longer periods of time.

A whole week of relaxing for the boys!
