Happy Birthday Nick and Paul!

Today my baby brother turns 25 which wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't know that with me being almost 5 years older my 30th is coming up in a few months. Yikes!! Anyway we wish both him and my uncle Paul the best of birthdays.

The last of our Fall Days

With winter quickly approaching Eric went out to rake up the last of the leaves in our yard. I couldn't resist bundling Robert up and taking some photos. He enjoyed the time outside for the most part but was a little confused as to why he was sinking into the leaves!

After being outside he was very content to stay in
his warm bear outfit and just chill in the chair.

Where did my baby go?

Today we took Robert in for his 2 month check up and it just confirmed that my baby is growing up! At birth he weighed 9lbs, 4oz and was 21 inches long and was in the 50th percentile. Today at almost 8 weeks he weighed in at 13lbs, 8oz and was 24 inches long and was in the low 90th percentile for both measurements. Eric can't wait for him to keep getting bigger so they can play together but I want him to stay little forever and always need/want his mommy and of course keep cuddling with me when it is time for sleep. I guess when he outgrows that stage we'll just have to give him a little brother or sister! Here are some pics to show you how much my little baby has grown in the past 8 weeks.

Vote!

We are starting Robert young with voting. Grandpa Hempler tried to get Robert to become a conservative last week when we saw him. I of course had to step in and explain to Robert that we love Grandpa but that doesn't always mean he's right. So Robert helped mommy vote today and we were 100% Democratic! Hope everyone, no matter what they believe, got out and voted today.

Happy Halloween!

Mylo and Robert are glad that Halloween only comes once a year because wearing a costume can sometimes get to be too much. Hope everyone has a great Halloween and gets more treats than tricks!

Notice how Mylo becomes more embarrassed
and insecure with each picture...

First Volleyball Game

Last night Robert attended his first Volleyball Game to cheer on the Wildcats! During his time at St. Kate's he played with my lifeguard Sarah while I coached practice, had dinner in the cafeteria with my swimmers Kayla & Kelley, got to huang out with my former assistant's family, and met the Sparby family who are close family friends and their daughter Whitney is a senior Volleyball player at St. Kate's. Here are some pictures from his adventures at St. Kate's.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy but great weekend. Saturday morning started out with my team's first swim meet of the year and my girls did an amazing job. That evening we went to our good friends wedding in Plymouth. It was our first night out without the little guy (thanks to my brother and sister in-law for babysitting). We had a great time and are so happy for the Caauwe's!

Sunday brought more activities but again was a great day. In the afternoon one of my college roommates stopped by to meet Robert. We had a great time visiting and it was so nice to be able to catch up in person instead of over e-mail. Then that evening we headed down to Farmington to celebrate Eric's dad's birthday. I'm looking forward to resting up a little more this week and taking advantage of playing with my son as it is my last week before starting back full time.

Where are we going now mom?
Happy Birthday Grandpa!
