Eric's Birthday!

On Saturday we celebrated Eric's 32nd Birthday! The birthday celebrations started early, thanks to two little kids that don't like to sleep in too late, with a french toast breakfast. During breakfast I told Eric that my goal was for him to not have to deal with dirty diapers or cranky kids. I did my best and succeeded with Robert but Izzy continued to challenge her daddy and didn't hold up to either bargain. Luckily Eric forgave Miss Isabel and enjoyed the day and his gift from the kids a Twins garden gnome!


That evening we went out to Pittsburgh Blue (a FANTASTIC steak house in Maple Grove) with Eric's family to continue the celebration. We were a little nervous about venturing out on the busy Saturday night with 2 kids but thankfully after all the fussing earlier in the day Izzy slept the entire time and cousin Lyric was a huge help in keeping Robert entertained. We all had great steaks and sides but I think everyone's favorite were the desserts. For his birthday, Eric received a red velvet cake with a sparkler and then we also ordered a slice of the 5 layer Chocolate Mousse cake for everyone to share. They were delicious and as you'll see below Robert got especially excited for his bites.
